IGN Cube:

"As Aaron noted, NBA Live is quite the different offering compared to NBA 2K3. It's a run-and-gun style game, with a big emphasis on multiplayer and the more arcadey elements. It's certainly chock full of plenty of NBA goodness, but it's definitely the fastest moving basketball title on GameCube..."

Gamers.com:

"Among the newest innovations you can't help but love are the new freestyle moves that you can execute with the right analog. Push left then right for a crossover, or up for a spin. There are lots of moves in store if you rehearse, and discovering them is half the fun. But there aren't enough signature moves."

GameSpot:

"While it may not totally realistic, it still retains enough of simulation style elements (especially in the harder difficulty settings) to appease even the most hardcore basketball fan. Its up-tempo gameplay along with the great passing and control make NBA Live 2003 a truly enjoyable basketball game..."
