Leading pop culture magazine, Entertainment Weekly got hands-on with
Mario's latest adventure in the Digital section of their latest
issue. While not the most in-depth article, editor Geoff
Keighley's review of Nintendo's Super Mario Sunshine is fairly good for a mainstream publication.
He writes, "The degree of interactivity within the different levels is
staggering, and the epic battles against various bosses have to be
played to be believed." However, Keighley's complains that
obstacles within the game were sometimes made "unnecessarily difficult"
- detracting from
gameplay. In the end, Keighley gave Super Mario Sunshine a B, commenting that
"there's plenty to recommend, but die-hard Mario fans might
find Sunshine mixed with clouds."
