Captain Olimar returns to the land of the Pikmin on a quest to save
his employer's company from going bankrupt in his latest GameCube
adventure. To finance his company's 10,000 pokos of debt, Olimar
must scavenge the planet for lost treasures. Only this time, the
player is given control of two main characters, Olimar and his
assistant, Loojie. Players will be able to alternate between the two
as they command Pikmin to defeat enemies, propagate more Pikmin,
collect precious doodads, and solve puzzles. With no time limit, new
colors of Pikmin, and two-player cooperative play, Pikmin 2
significantly improves on the original. Best of all, the game may be out sooner than many anticipated. According to sources, Pikmin 2
is currently schedule for an August release in North America.
