Sales of Nintendo GameCube held firm last week at 35,100 units in the face
of a PlayStation 2 price cut from Ľ26,800 ($216) to Ľ23,800
($192). Capcom's GameCube exclusive, Resident Evil Ř fell to #8 on the software sales charts in its
second week of release. Mario Party 4 continues to sell well,
holding onto the #7 spot in Japan software sales.
Game Boy Advance sales were very high for a second week in a row
at 145,900. Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, fell to position #3
and #4 respectively this week on Japan game sales charts. Combined sales
for both
Pokémon games have now topped 1.7 million units.
