Since the debut of The Legend of Zelda in 1987, all of Link's games
have been the stuff of legends - universally appealing adventures
that emerged as triumphs of gameplay, presentation,
innovation, graphics and fun. IGN Cube writes, "Wind Waker is a masterful achievement - a shining example, in
fact, of how videogames should be made. Simply put, this is one of
the best games in the last few years and one of the most compelling
reasons to pick up a GameCube immediately if you don't already own
one."

The reflective and
reactive water surfaces are among the most beautiful we've ever
seen. Well detailed levels, dynamic lighting effects, and numerous
bump-mapped surfaces - not to mention blades of grass that sway in
the wind - bring SFA's environment to life in ways unseen in
most other games. The title's controls are fluid and well laid out
in a scheme reminiscent of Ocarina of Time.

unquestionably Mario's new water backpack, named F.L.U.D.D. Like the special suits

inventive devise adds an entirely new dynamic to Mario's adventure
and allows for many new gameplay elements.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is the sequel
to the
smash hit for the N64. IGN Cube described this game best, "Melee is a fantastic sequel and an amazing
fighter. If you consider yourself a Nintendo fan – even just a
little, this is a virtual treasure of a game that simply mustn't be
passed up. This has become and will likely become one of my favorite
GameCube titles of all-time. It's that good." With many modes
of play and lots of secrets to unlock, Melee would stand on its own as
a fantastic single player game. However, Melee's incredible
multi-player offerings truly set the game apart. GameSpot comments,
"Judged on its own merits, Nintendo's spastic tribute to itself stands quite strong as
one of the most engaging multiplayer games available for any console
platform." |

is completely overrun. Mutant beasts and blood-thirsty zombies
infest the landscape. You are S.T.A.R.S., Special Tactics and Rescue

Doing justice to the original, the developers at Retro Studios have
delivered a brand-new Metroid adventure that
comes heavily armed with incredible gameplay, including
first-person adventuring as seen through Samus's combat, scan, and
other high-tech visors. Electronic Gaming Monthly writes, "The best GameCube game yet... Whether you're new to the series
or (especially) if you're an old fan with lofty expectations, Prime
is better than you can imagine. An absolute masterpiece, a modern
classic, and probably the most fun I've ever had playing a

TimeSplitters 2 was
developed by the minds behind Nintendo 64's GoldenEye and it shows.
The game is easily one of the most brilliant and enjoyable first
person shooters in years. While the traditional story mode is
fantastic, the addition of co-operative story play, an extensive
selection of multiplayer modes, and a mapmaker, make TimeSplitters 2
THE must-own GameCube FPS this year. Matt Casamassina of IGN Cube
writes, "TimeSplitters 2 is one of my favorite home console 3D
first-person shooters to date. It's better than GoldenEye, Perfect
Dark and Turok and ranks right up there with Halo on Xbox." |

Madden has always been a
leader in the football game genre and the EA's latest release doesn't disappoint.
EA took the already great Madden NFL 2003 and managed to improve every
aspect of the title in one way or another and thus score a listing in
GameCubicle's Must-Have listing. According to one GameSpot reviewer,
"There's a lot to like about Madden 2003. You'll undoubtedly
enjoy the numerous modes it has to offer, and enough adjustments and
changes have been made to the commentary and the gameplay to warrant
a purchase even if you have last year's game." |

Since its first iteration
on Sega Dreamcast, Visual Concepts' NFL 2K series has played with the
best in the genre. With NFL 2K3 takes a greater sim approach than
previous releases and truly gives Madden 2003 a run for its money. IGN
perhaps said it best in their review of NFL2k3, "I didn't think it was possible, but Sega and Visual concepts
have created a football game arguably more feature-rich and detailed
than the legendary Madden. Both games are amazing, but NFL 2K3 is a
nice change of pace if you've been glued to the Madden franchise for
years..." |
