Mario's
Game Boy Advance debut gives gamers two games in one: a souped-up
version of Super Mario Bros. 2 and an action-packed four-player
version of the original Mario Bros. arcade game. Whether you're
playing alone or with three of your friends, Super Mario Advance is
the perfect game to break in your new Game Boy Advance!
There are seven worlds to conquer, each one stocked with
strategically placed Red Coins to find. This is a new feature only
available in the Game Boy Advance version of the game, and it's a
daunting task to find them all. Even if you manage to make it
through all seven worlds, your mission won't come to an end. Your
next goal will be to complete the Yoshi Challenge. Two Yoshi Eggs
are hidden in each level, and you can try to find them all in any
order you'd like.
Super Mario Bros. 2 was first released for the original NES in 1988,
and now it's better than ever on Game Boy Advance. Mario, Luigi,
Peach and Toad adventure through an incredible fantasy world on a
quest to save the day, with little more than vegetables with which
to defend themselves. The basic gameplay mechanics are the same in
the Game Boy Advance version, but new enemies, better graphics and
tougher challenges give the adventure a completely new feel. - Review

IGN Pocket:
"It's about time for Super Mario 2 to come back, as a good many
gamers will be playing it for the first time. With a revamped SMB2
and a awesome four-player version of Mario Bros, this is still a
great package... If you do pick up SMA, I can pretty much promise
you won't regret it for a second."

Spot:
"Those interested in single-player platformer gameplay, albeit
with relatively loose controls, will find Super Mario Bros. 2 both
unique and highly challenging, while those looking to link up their
GBAs and taking part in multiplayer action will crave the lively,
fast-paced gameplay in Mario Bros..."

Planet GameCube:
"Mario Advance's presentation provides easy navigation.
Graphics and animation are crisp... Many thoroughly enjoyed the
original, and novices should have the opportunity to enjoy its
second reincarnation. Its portability and new collecting aspects
will spark new life into the aging level design for Gurus." |
